Henry is a red dun (has the striping on his shoulders and legs and a dorsal stripe, and could be registered with IBHA), grade gelding, 8 years old, 14.2hh. He has extensive training under saddle; jumps, knows his leads, has competed in open shows (huntseat), intro level dressage and combined tests. We originally purchased Henry as a school horse for my more experienced students, but over time, I have come to believe he would be much happier with his own "person". Not every horse is cut out to carry different riders in a lesson program. Henry does best when ridden at least 3 times a week. The more consistently he is ridden, the better he gets. He requires an experienced, confident, soft rider to bring out his best. This is NOT a beginner horse. He is very smart and energetic. For the right person, he is a blast to ride. He's very friendly and loving, has excellent ground manners, good strong feet (does not require shoes), and is in excellent health. He lives outside 24/7 with two other geldings. He trailers well, clips, bathes, no problem for the vet or farrier. UTD on all vaccinations, including WNV, current coggins. My goal is to find just the right situation for Henry. He is a neat little guy and deserves to find a good home with the right rider. Would consider a trade for a school horse type gelding, dead quiet, tolerant of little beginners, sane and sound. Asking $4,000 OBRO. |
